After the Fall #1

$480.00

30 x 30cm, Acrylic on board, ready to hang or stand on your desk.

The first in my After the Fall series imagines Sydney on a windswept spring day, years after abandonment, as plants recarpet the streets. I love the feel of cinematic animation and this series is my version, finding the utopia in what looks like our rather dystopian future.

About this collection

When I had a lull in painting, I started writing science fiction. In my story world the cities, infrastructure, and societies have all crumbled. They say sci-fi and fantasy are ways to explore the conceivable, and social collapse certainly is. After the Fall envisages what our cities might look like afterwards, in the throes of nature reclamation. A bit Dystopia, a bit Utopia, painted in cinematic animation style with a Studio Ghibli feel. Small paintings in acrylic on board, with a cute little stand so it can sit on your shelf.
